Forging strong relationships in Japan and with overseas subsidiaries
After setting up subsidiaries in Korea and Taiwan in May 2013, Linical began winning contracts to conduct multinational Asian clinical trials across Japan, Korea, and Taiwan. In recent years, multiple Japanese clients have commissioned such multinational trials, thereby helping us to strengthen our work force and build a strong track record.
Of course, to ensure that our Japanese clients’ needs are thoroughly understood, we actively implement management from Japan, so that Japan Quality is achieved throughout.
We also receive contracts from the overseas subsidiaries of Japanese pharmaceutical companies to conduct local clinical trials in the countries they operate in. Thus, Linical strives to forge strong relationships not only with pharmaceutical companies in Japan, but also between local subsidiaries in other countries.
Following on from Korea and Taiwan, in November 2015 we set up a subsidiary in Singapore, where we are currently in charge of the Singapore part of an EU-based global clinical trial.
Furthermore, we are now putting in place a system to help our clients conduct trials in China. As well as implementing facility management from Linical’s Taiwanese subsidiary, we are securing local consultants and developing partnerships with local CROs.
In 2017 we began employing Chinese CRAs (Clinical Research Associates) in Japan. After they develop a thorough understanding of “Japan Quality,” these CRAs will be ready to play a leading role in our local clinical trials. In this and other ways, we are now enhancing our system of implementation within China.
Establishing footholds in other Asian countries
We are working to progressively establish footholds in other Asian countries too, to strengthen our platform of operations in Asia, so that we can offer our clients services that meet their needs in Asia as readily as their needs in Japan.
