Appropriate consulting taking into consideration both project activities and career paths
Linical has a business unit dedicated to oncology studies with project teams made up of oncology experts. As a monitor leader (ML) in charge of CRAs in this oncology business unit, I am responsible for managing projects and supporting the growth of team members.
To establish more advanced project management, oversight meetings are held frequently. These meetings are focused on a particular client or position, so they provide many opportunities to communicate with people from different projects and departments and also to exchange information across management levels, as in a matrix-style organization. We hold discussions based on shared case studies, from which we can learn things to apply later to our own study management.
I also feel that I can efficiently support Linical’s efforts in personnel development when I’m managing a project, because I maintain strong communication with team members at all times. In my view, personnel development requires a marketing perspective. Together with team members, I think about the career paths they envision for themselves. Then, to help them realize their vision and develop the necessary skills, I analyze their current capabilities and do my best to guide them into approaching their work in a way that suits their individual talents. One of the key characteristics of a Linical ML is that we give appropriate advice and guidance to team members, taking into consideration both their project activities and their career paths. I personally feel that this approach leads to a rational, logical and driven career advancement for our employees.
I would also say that a key value of our company is our advanced management system based on intensive information sharing, and in an environment that provides importance and dedication to personal and career growth.
